"R" visa is for high-level talents valid for 5-10 years with multiple entries each duration of less than 180 days.
You need a "Confirmation Letter for High-Level International Faculty" from PKU to apply for R visa.
Documents Required:
• Application Form for "Confirmation Letter for High-Level Foreign Experts";
• Employment contract or certificate that shows your eligibility as a High-Level Foreign Expert;
• Copy of your Passport (valid for at least 6 months).
Notes:
• You can apply for rush processing of your visa at your local Chinese embassy or consulate and get the visa within 2 work days.
• Embassies or consulates can issue visas valid for 5 or 10 years with multiple entries for your spouse and children.
• You can apply for the visa for free.
