As autumn deepened with vibrant red leaves, Peking University's International Faculty Club hosted a "Poetic Autumn" cultural gathering at Haidian Park on the afternoon of November 2. The event invited international faculty and their families from various departments to experience the charm of traditional Chinese solar terms amid picturesque autumn scenery.
Centered around the Double Ninth Festival, the event featured a poetry puzzle hunt inspired by the Tang Poet Du Mu’s poem "Climbing Mount Qi in September." Participants were divided into three teams and completed a series of interactive games to collect stamps while decoding cultural clues.

The designed activities at various checkpoints allowed the participants to appreciate the beauty of tradition blending with nature. At the lakeside platform, the "pitch-pot" game, a traditional ritual pastime dating back to the Zhou Dynasty, quickly ignited enthusiasm. Cheers and applause erupted whenever an arrow landed precisely in the pot. Meanwhile, a leaf identification activity at the "Taoyuan Shusheng" scenic spot opened a journey of natural exploration. Participants carefully compared leaves like maple and ginkgo to diagrams, deepening their understanding of Beijing's diverse autumn flora through interaction.

This "Poetry in Autumn" cultural gathering not only allowed international faculty to embrace nature and appreciate Beijing's golden autumn but also built a bridge for cross-cultural communication through its innovative and interactive format.
