Foreign Experts from Peking University and Tsinghua University gathered at Shao Yuan Western Restaurant on the afternoon of September 26 to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival. More than twenty foreign experts and their families participated in the "Blossoms, Moon, and Reunion" cultural event organized by the Peking University International Faculty Club.

The event began with an introduction to the festival's history and traditions by student volunteers. Participants then learned to recite classic Chinese poems about the moon, appreciating its cultural significance. The main activity involved making mooncakes in small groups. Using dough mixed with butterfly pea flower powder and various fillings, the experts created mooncakes stamped with patterns like "Jade Rabbit" and "Osmanthus." The atmosphere was lively with laughter as many took photos with their handmade creations. A mooncake tasting session followed, where participants sampled and guessed the flavors of different types, from traditional Five Kernel to innovative French cheese, experiencing the diversity of Chinese culinary culture.

This event served as a cultural bridge, deepening the foreign experts' understanding of Chinese traditions while fostering friendship and cross-university exchange. Participants expressed that the activity was both warm and engaging, creating a strong traditional festival atmosphere and hope for more such events in the future.
