Dr. ZHANG Xinya is an Associate Professor of Department of Audio Arts and Acoustics at Columbia College Chicago. He received his Ph.D. in psychoacoustics at Michigan State University and his bachelor degree in physics at Peking University. His primary research interests include psychoacoustics, architecture acoustics, virtual reality, 3-D Simulation of Sound Filed, binaural hearing, media arts, recording, singing voice and cultural market. Dr. Zhang is currently a researcher at National Institute of Cultural Development and International Research Center for Peking Opera Heritage and served as the director of China Initiative at Columbia College Chicago from 2012 to 2016.
