New Course - The Global Images of China

03/02 2018

mages are not necessarily realities and representations can also be misrepresentations. How did early Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and other travelers, explorers, officials and others represent China?  In recent times, how did writers, scholars, politicians, media creators and others represent images of China?  It is not just writers who do this but those who are in media, politics and other spheres. The images become crucial in our understanding of how the world imagines and represents China in images.  Explore the labyrinth of China stories and history with the course the Global Images of China by Prof. Zhao Baisheng & Professor Jonathan Locke Hart.
