École Polytechnique (l’X) and Peking University (PKU) have signed a Double Degree Program Agreement on March 31, 2015.
This double degree program agreement will allow students in their third year of Bachelor at the School of Mathematical Sciences of Peking University to take the international admission exam to access École Polytechnique. They will study three years in France before going back to Peking University for their final year of Master’s degree. Thus, the selected students will get both a diploma from Peking University in China and from l’X in France. This agreement will also encourage École Polytechnique students to go to Peking University to do their research internship and their year abroad.

Dr. Frank Pacard, Vice-President for Academic Affairs and Research of École Polytechnique, adds: “I am delighted by this double degree program that further expands the relationship between our two institutions, which offer top-level training in mathematics, both pure and applied, our multidisciplinary approach being complementary to that of the School of Mathematical Sciences of Peking University. This agreement will serve to enhance student mobility and to create a path of excellence between France and China.”
This agreement has an initial validity of five years subjected to a renewal at the convenience of both partners.
