On November 20th, the Peking University Study Abroad Fair was successfully held at Yingjie Overseas Exchange Center of Peking University (PKU). The Fair, which was organized by the PKU Office of International Relations, saw the attendance of thirty elite universities and educational institutes all over the world, as well as stands set up to promote exchange programs to Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. The aim of the event was to provide PKU students with an opportunity to gain more information about various programs that these schools offer through direct interaction with the representatives from these institutions.

During the event, students can not only obtain information about studying abroad from the booths, but also listen the presentations given by some institutions.
Dr. Brent Haas, Director of EAP Beijing Center of University of California, patiently answered the questions from students. For instance, some of the students were not clear about the application procedures for UC Educational Abroad Program (UCEAP), and did not know which UC campus was the most suitable one for their majors. Besides, Dr. Brent Hass also explained to the students about UCEAP obligations.

The Representative of Sciences Po China Office Li Tingyu, also explained the basis requirements that Sciences Po have for its prospective students. As a university that has played a key role in nurturing the political elites in France, Sciences Po seeks students who hold curiosity toward the world, bear a strong sense of social responsibility and aspire to be a leader in their own field.
Overall, the three-hour event was a success, with various school representatives providing students with precious information on studying abroad.
