Orientation Days for New International Students at PKU

Every semester Peking University holds an orientation program especially for incoming international students. The orientation is designed to help international students settle into life in Peking University and acquaint themselves with the university and their institute(s).

The Orientation Days of the 2014/15 winter semester were held from September 5 to September 6, 2014. To ensure the orientation program was carried out smoothly, the Office of International Relations, together with the Financial Department of PKU, Computer Center of PKU, medical insurance company, Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau and other pertinent departments, offered one-stop admission service for new international students.

There are volunteer teams consisting of international students on site to offer guide service with their language advantage. Besides, a series of presentations on school policies, regulations and scholarship were arranged by the Office of International Relations.

On September 6^th, Wang Enge, President of PKU, went to the orientation site and talked to new international students about their study plan at PKU, and thanked the staff and volunteers for their efforts.
