On the afternoon of April 21th, Ms. Li Peirong, Dean of the Academy of Korean Studies and former President of Ewha Womans University, led a delegation consisting of well-known Korean women and visited Peking University (PKU). Vice President of PKU Li Yansong received the guests at Linhuxuan, accompanied by Yue Sulan, former Vice President of PKU and Dean of the Center for Women Studies, Wei Guoying, Executive vice Dean of the Center for Women Studies and Prof. Wang Dan, Dean of the Department of Korean.
Vice President Li Yansong first extended warm welcome for the arrival of Ms. Li Peirong. He briefly talked about the exchanges between Korean colleges and universities and PKU, and the situation of studying life of Korean students at PKU. He said that special thanks went to Ms. Li Peirong for the contribution she had made during her tenure as the President of Ewha Womans University, and he expected that close cooperation will be conducted between the Academy of Korean Studies and PKU.
Ms. Li Peirong introduced outstanding women members of the delegation, and hoped that research cooperation between the Academy of Korean Studies and PKU will be further pushed forward.
As a member of the delegation, Mr. Jin Hangui, Chairman of 21Centery Korean Chinese Communication Association, also introduced the Korean Chinese Women High Level Dialogue that will be held in Korean in 2015, and invited PKU professors present there to attend the event.
