Six international scholars were awarded the third “Yanyuan Friendship Award of Peking University” in 2022. The “Yanyuan Friendship Award of Peking University” was launched in 2018 to recognize international scholars who have made outstanding contributions to the talent cultivation and academic development of Peking University. Twelve international scholars received this award during the previous two award periods.
The international scholars who receivedthethird“Yanyuan Friendship Award of Peking University” come from key academic fields ofthisuniversity,includingneuroscience, condensed matter physics, electrical systems, international law, history of international relations, and foreign languagesand cultures. They haveagreatpassionfortruth-seeking andeducation, andarerespected members of the international academic community. Theyhave devotedmost of their timetostudent cultivationandacademic research andachieveda series of original research results. During theoutbreak of Covid-19epidemic, they worked hard to adapt to the new requirements of online teaching, actively conducting online lectures, talks and seminars, anddemonstratedtheir perseverance in overcoming the epidemic. Their deep affection for China and Peking University has built a bridge of cross-cultural communication between Peking University and the world, playing an important role intelling true and complete stories aboutChina and enhancing the internationalimpactof Peking University.
Efforts willcontinue in 2023to invite more outstanding international scholars to Peking University and build an exchange platform for international faculty members to better understand China and Peking University.Let us work together for academic excellence, talent cultivation and building an international community with a shared future!
