The PKU delegates are students from the School of International Studies, the School of Foreign Languages and the Department of Philosophy. They are guided by the PKU Association of China-US Exchange. This is the third year in which Peking University has been invited. As the only delegation from the Chinese mainland, they won respect from other delegations by their excellence.

This year, PICSim focused on the North Africa issues. As the Jasmine Revolution caused political earthquakes in that region, the conference scheduled many subjects for discussion. All the delegates exchanged their respective opinions with one another in the three-day conference, and jointly worked for the promotion of peace and stability in North Africa.

Frederick Hitz, Senior Fellow at the University of Virginia Center for National Security Law and former CIA Inspector General, was invited as the keynote speaker of this Simulation. More than one hundred delegates from Peking University, Princeton University, West Point Military Academy, Duke University, National University of Singapore and fifteen other elite institutions across the world attended this conference.

PICSim is hosted by the Princeton University International Relations Council. It focuses on the international hotspots of each year. Guided by the supervisors, student delegates work through committees to simulate the real policy making process in the case of a hypothesized regional crisis.Compared with most similar conferences held by institutions in the United States, PICSim is more professional and more realistic.
