Since it is a yearly event, we are curious about what Food Fiesta will bring us this year. There are seventeen countries participating in the event in total, including nine countries in the morning and ten in the afternoon. So many foreign students bring their traditional food there and invite visitors to have a taste.

Russian students bring pancakes for us. It is like that kind of the pancake that we use to roll Peking ducks. But what is different is that it uses condensed milk as its sauce, so it is extremely sweet. Russian students say that they like sweet food very much and their chocolates can be classified into three kinds, with the brown ones being the sweetest.

Korean students have prepared a varies of snacks, including New Year cake, Korean rice, Korean pancakes, fried rice and so on. At the thought of Korea, most of us maybe think of laver rice, the traditional food of Korea. But today some Japanese friends bring us their laver rice. It is something similar to the Korean ones, with a flavor more salty and spicy.

Indonesian food is really special which draws my attention at once. Can you believe it? They fry bananas! It is really amazing. One Indonesian student said that they Indonesians prefer fried food so much that most of their food is fried.

German bread is out of our expectation. Unlike most of the sweet bread in other places, it’s salty. Li Yunyao ,one of the tasters said  it tastes like fried bread cake in China.

Aside from delicious food, Swedish students show vodka and Singaporean students bring rose drinks.

The food is so popular that people line up a long line in order to have a bite. Everyone, Chinese and foreigners, enjoy different kinds of food here and are eager to learn about the cultural background behind it.
