The Symposium on Cosmology and Particle Astrophysics 2011 (CosPA2011) was held in Peking University, Beijing, Mainland China, during October 28-31, 2011. The symposium covered many leading issues on Cosmology and Particle Astrophysics and is organized and founded by School of Physics of Peking University, State Key Laboratory of Nuclear Physics and Technology of Peking University, Center for High Energy Physics of Peking University, and National Natural Science Foundation of China.

Many achievements have been achieved in the field of Cosmology and Particle Astrophysics (CosPA) in the past years. For researchers dedicated to Cosmology and Particle Astrophysics from the Asia-Pacific region, the Symposium on Cosmology and Particle Astrophysics provides an ideal platform and opportunity to discuss new issues, exchange new ideas and learn new techniques from both theoretical and experimental aspects. Starting from 2002, CosPA Symposiums have been successfully held in Taiwan, Korea, Australia, and Japan for seven times, during which improvements of communication and collaboration among researchers are achieved. Right now, CosPA Symposium has grown into a meeting with extensive international influence.

The symposium is held in mainland China this year for the first time. Over forty renowned researchers from home and abroad take talks on their most recent scientific advancements, covering most frontier researches in cosmology and astroparticle physics. The on-going projects discussed in the symposium include dark matter , dark energy, compact star, cosmic ray, neutrino and hadron physics. Also there is a special session for the newest development in the study of recent OPERA superluminal neutrino anomaly.

The symposium has greatly pushed forward the communication and collaboration between mainland China and Taiwan as well as other international leading countries in scientific research. With the successful end of the symposium on October 31th, the fields of cosmology and astroparticle physics in Asia Pacific region entered an era with more active and intense scientific exploration.
