From October 8th to October 13th, 2015, Alex Callinicos, internationally known political philosopher and Marxist theorist, director of the European Studies Center in King’s College London, Britain, visited Peking University at the invitation of the Peking University Global Fellowship. He delivered a series of academic lectures about the current situation of western new-liberalism and the latest development of critical theory, and he also attended the "Reading Das Kapital" academic symposium with scholars both in and out of the university.
