根据北京大学与斯坦福大学相关协议,为促进中美青年交流与教育合作,2026年3月29日至6月11日,将有20名斯坦福大学本科生在北京大学斯坦福中心参加“汉学京塾”项目(CHINA Studies in Beijing Program)。
该项目旨在通过跨文化交流,帮助学生深入了解中国的发展成就、发展路径及其在全球体系中的角色。项目期间,斯坦福大学知名教授将开设四门课程,欢迎我校学生报名参与学习。
一、开设课程
A. China’s Economic Development: Past, Present, and Future
授课教师:Prof. Scott Rozelle
上课时间:每周二 15:00–18:00 及 19:30–21:00
B. Chinese Language, Culture, and Society
授课教师:Prof. Chaofen Sun
上课时间:每周一、周三 15:10–16:30
C. Chinese Corporations: A Case History Research Seminar
授课教师:Prof. Andrew G. Walder
课程形式:小型研讨会,共8次课
上课时间:每周一、周三 10:00–12:20(5月11日结课)
此外,课程“The United States, China, and Global Security”已纳入北京大学选课系统,由斯坦福大学Matthew Dolbow、Kristian Kender教授与北京大学王勇教授联合授课,欢迎同学通过选课系统自行报名。
注:为扩大项目参与面,每位同学限报一门课程。完成课程学习并达到成绩要求者,将获得项目颁发的课程学习证书,该证书不可转换为北京大学或斯坦福大学的课程学分。
二、遴选条件
1.北京大学正式注册的全日制学生,本科生优先;
2.确保所申请课程与个人既有课业安排时间不冲突;
3.品学兼优,遵守两校及项目相关管理规定,具备流利的英语听说读写能力,能够参与课堂讨论并完成课程作业与论文考核;
4.具备良好的跨文化交流能力,有志于促进中美友好交流,服务构建人类命运共同体。
三、申请办法
请填写“申请表”(附件)并于2026年3月11日(星期三)之前发送至项目邮箱:gxy@stanford.edu 邮件标题请使用“Full Name_PKU Application for 2026 CSIB”格式。项目将进行考核遴选并及时以邮件形式通知录取结果。

Notice on Selection of PKU Students to Participate in the "China Studies in Beijing" Program
According to the relevant agreement between Peking University and Stanford University, to promote Sino-American youth exchange and educational cooperation, from March 29 to June 11 2026, 20 Stanford University undergraduate students will participate in the "China Studies in Beijing" Program at the Stanford Center at Peking University.
This program aims to help students gain deep insights into China's development achievements, development path, and its role in the global system through cross-cultural exchange. During the program, distinguished Stanford University professors will offer four courses, and we welcome PKU students to apply for participation.
I. Course Offerings
A. China's Economic Development: Past, Present, and Future
·Instructor: Prof. Scott Rozelle
·Class Time: Tuesdays 15:00–18:00 & 19:30–21:00
B. Chinese Language, Culture, and Society
·Instructor: Prof. Chaofen Sun
·Class Time: Mondays & Wednesdays 15:10–16:30
C. Chinese Corporations: A Case History Research Seminar
·Instructor: Prof. Andrew G. Walder
·Format: Small seminar, 8 sessions total
·Class Time: Mondays & Wednesdays 10:00–12:20 (ending May 11)
Additionally, the course "The United States, China, and Global Security" has been integrated into the Peking University course selection system, jointly taught by Stanford University professors Matthew Dolbow and Kristian Kender, along with Peking University professor Wang Yong. Students are welcome to register through the course selection system independently.
Note: To maximize participation opportunities, each student is limited to applying for one course. Students who complete the course and meet the grade requirements will receive a course completion certificate issued by the program. This certificate cannot be converted into course credits at Peking University or Stanford University.
II. Selection Criteria
1.Officially registered full-time students at Peking University, with priority given to undergraduate students;
2.Must ensure that the applied course does not conflict with existing academic schedule;
3.Excellent academic performance and conduct, compliance with regulations of both universities and the program, proficient English listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities, capable of participating in classroom discussions and completing coursework and paper assessments;
4.Strong cross-cultural communication skills, committed to promoting Sino-American friendly exchanges and serving the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
III. Application Procedure
Please complete the "Application Form" (attachment) and send it to the program email: gxy@stanford.edu before Wednesday, March 11, 2026. Please use the format "Full Name_PKU Application for 2026 CSIB" for the email subject line. The program will conduct selection assessments and promptly notify admission results via email.
